About Dr. Alyson Marx
I received my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in the treatment of Children, Adolescents, and Families from William James College in 2015. I completed my post-doctoral training in the neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents at a local agency, and continue work at this agency as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. My assessment experience encompasses a broad range of disorders, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, learning disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders, and developmental trauma.
I believe that psychological assessment is a valuable tool in helping all children realize their potential. All children are unique, from their cognitive abilities to their social-emotional development. Not all children learn in the same ways, and they have unique responses to both learning and life experiences. By understanding children's learning strengths and challenges, how they interact with their environment, and their emotional life, we can gain insight into their behavior, and what we can do to support them in a way that fits them as unique individuals.
